Spray Paint Rug
Rug on a budget. You know you're broke when you won't shell out 15 or so dollars on a kitchen rug. The fix? Spray paint your own. Above is what a $2 rug at Goodwill and a can of blue spray paint can get you. Since my rug was light colored I decided to spray paint the whole thing. If you buy a dark colored rug or if you want a light colored rug you could just paint the stencil.
Supplies:
Rug--check goodwill or dollar general
1 can of spray paint
stencil--I used beer bottle caps. They work great because you don't have to tape them down.
What to do:
1. Make sure your rug is clean.
2. Arrange and secure your stencil.
3. Paint. Mine took 2 coats.
4. Let dry and then put it to use!
