Contact Paper Tree...Wall Decal

This is perfect for renters that are not allowed to paint. Using contact paper is easy and versatile. And when you are done, it comes right off with no mess. Of course this project isn't limited to trees. There are so many things you can DIY-decal on your wall. Get creative!

Supplies:
Contact Paper (I suggest woodgrain. To me it just has that vintagy look/feel.)
Chalk
Exacto Knife
Scissors

What to Do:
1. Decide what you want on your wall.

2. Clean wall to be sure there is no dust.

3. Either free hand your design or stencil it with chalk. If you choose a small design you can use a Sharpie and draw directly on the contact paper.

4. Piece contact paper into chalk outline.

----Step 4 really takes a lot of time if you are using CP with a pattern. You might have to go section by section if your design is large. Make sure if you are using wood grain that you keep it all in the same direction.

Trust me the hard work will be worth it in the end when you have a one-of-a-kind piece of art!
